Good Friends and Cameras…

Hi everyone-

Occasionally the universe aligns and you get to meet amazing people that you very easily might have lived your life never knowing. I’m lucky enough to have met just such a person a few years ago at a location lighting workshop.

Bryan Allen was an instructor at that workshop and we quickly hit it off and have been friends ever since. Bryan has not only served as mentor and friend but is crazy enough to accept my invitation to various adventures although they have been mild up to this point. Make sure you click on his name at the beginning of this paragraph to check out his blog and awesome photography!

For the last two summers Bryan has joined me for some shooting and relaxation in Montana. It is quickly becoming a summer tradition that I look forward to each year. We basically travel around northern Montana, visit Glacier National Park and the North American Indian Days form our base in Choteau, MT. Occasionally we even sleep in Tipi’s at the foot of Glacier Park. It’s a fun time where we can relax, away from every day responsibilities and feed each others creativity in one of the most beautiful parts of the United States.

In the gallery below there are some images I shot of Bryan on this years trip. As you can see we do a lot of shooting and a fair share of just goofing off. Of course we always have a camera there to capture those moments.

I’m sure Bryan is going to be ecstatic that I posted some of these…;)

Hope you enjoy checking out these images as much as we had fun while out and about capturing them.

Have a great day!!

Doug Haass - All too often we go out on these adventures and come back with memories of the location and scenery, but sans any true connection with ourselves. I’m sure one, or both of you, will look back fondly on these photos in years to come, glad to have taken the time to shoot them. Awesome job capturing Bryan in so many unguarded moments, along with those where he played along with it.

Ted - Love that you’ve captured the essence of BA so wonderfully. I can assure you that you will get thousands of hits to this post as Bryan won’t be able to stop himself from checking them out over and over again. He’s shy like that. :)

Lovely shots – and I won’t miss this trip ever again.
